James Lorello

James A. Lorello currently serves as an Assistant Director of Student Conduct at Appalachian State University. He also serves as the co-chair for the Men and Masculinities Knowledge Community for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. James works in the higher education setting and works with programs to create a culture of positive masculinity on college campuses. James is currently pursuing his Doctorate at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro with a focus on stories of Masculinity.

Men on the Mountain is dedicated to actively engaging individuals who identify as male in discussions and learning opportunities around gender violence, power and privilege and current media. While fostering a sense of equality, Men on the Mountain will focus on multicultural competence, leadership development and civic engagement to create a more developed sense of one's own mascline identity in college.
